Coming up for Air

Watching moose "snorkel" is a favorite passtime, especially at Kootenai Lakes in the north end of the park.

What's an AIR?

In 2006 and 2007 I was an Artist in Residence at Glacier National Park. I put a considerable amount of mileage on my boot treads gathering experiences and photographs for a poster and an online alphabet book. The poster, Jewels of Glacier, has been published by the Glacier Natural History Association and the alphabet book should be up on the park's website soon. By sharing a few of my adventures in this amazing landscape I hope you will see Glacier Park as both a place worth visiting and a place worth saving for many more adventurous generations to come. More recent posts are paintings and drawings inspired by the wilderness experience. Enjoy!
