This painting comes from one of my closer encounters with mountain goat families in the park. Mom, this years kid and last years big brother (a common grouping) passed by as I made room on the Highline Trail one early morning in July. I may still have some work to do on this one. Everything is in shadow except the little triangle of morning sun hitting the far ridge and I'm not sure I've gotten that just right although it's a little better in the original I think. :)
